Testing Equipment/Airbag Data

I am trained and licenced to use the Bosch CDR data acquisition equipment in downloading store data on an airbags control module.

The data stored by supported vehicles at this time by the airbag control module will generally include 5seconds of pre impact data and 300 milliseconds of post impact data.

The force exchange in an open road headon between two opposite direction cars often occurs within 150milliseconds or less.

The data stored includes Speed, Delta V (change in speed longitudinal and lateral ), Brake light activation, Engine RPM and may include steering input.

The stored data is useful in co-oborating or otherwise a drivers version of events and or speeds calculations based on other recognized methodology.
